Richard Dyer
Writing, presenting, performing, content-making
I am a regular writer for PBS SpaceTime, a YouTube channel that explores the biggest questions in physics, with over 3 million subscribers. I pitch, research, and write scripts, including jokes, and often provide GFX descriptions for the editors. I also create digital content for TikTok, where my account has 30k+ followers and 1.4 million likes, and Instagram, where I have almost 20k followers. I have previously collaborated with brands on marketing campaigns, including Taskade and the Netflix TV series, 3 Body Problem. I am always keen to hear about opportunities for collaboration!
In May 2024, I won the audience vote (and received the judge's second prize) at Cheltenham Science Festival's FameLab national final from an initial pool of 408 applicants. As part of the competition, I received presentation and media training.
Beyond science communication, I have hosted charity fashion shows and, more recently, trained in improv comedy with the Free Association in London. I have also starred as the lead in two award-winning short films, one of which I co-wrote.
I am always looking for new opportunities to bring astrophysics to the world. Please feel free to get in touch!
